Answer to Smoking Frees the Mind?

Correct answer is B. Vasa vasorum literally means vessels of vessels. Hence, given that the only vessel labeled in  the two images is the aorta, this is the correct answer. In addition, one should note that vasoconstriction of the vasa vasorum or impairment of their flow is due to the increase of blood pressure brough on by smoking. This impairment of the vasa vasorum  may lead to ischemia of the aortic wall and resultant stiffening of the vessel. Smoking is a known cause of early damage to the abdominal aorta, which can lead to an aneurysm. A ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm is life-threatening; almost all deaths from abdominal aortic aneurysms are caused by smoking.
