Answer to Born to be Wild

Correct answer is E. Ted is suffering from nothing more than a severe sunburn from having his arm hang out the window for ten hours. He was probably aware of this all along. However, he may suffer from Munchausen’s syndrome,  a rare psychological and behavioral condition in which somebody fabricates or induces symptoms of illness in themselves. He clearly must have been aware that he had suffered a severe sunburn during the drive, but masked it by donning his jacket. As to why the correct answer is E, the intercostobrachial nerve is sensory to the T2 dermatome. Angina in males often causes referred pain in this dermatome. The T2 nerve enters the spinal cord at the same level that visceral afferents from the heart enter the cord.
