Answer to Waiting for Godot at the Metro

Correct answer is B, the caecum. Indeed, generally, any derivative of the midgut can give rise to referred pain in the umbilical region, or just below it. Referred pain from the stomach is usually felt at the back, or even the neck. The distal 1/3 of the transverse colon, descending colon and sigmoid colon are all considered part of the hindgut and referred pain from this region is felt at the public region.

  1. = Stomach

  2. = Caecum

  3. = Transverse colon (distal 1/3)

  4. = Descending colon

  5. = Sigmoid colon
